Settling In

After a few weeks of preaching, visiting, and counseling God has blessed me with an increased sense of stability and unity in the midst of the congregation. My hope is that God has been blessing you with the same. Though life is difficult, and the life of the church is no less difficult, we can always rejoice in God’s ever present grace. Not only does our Father qualify us to be recipients of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:13), but He also gives us grace to live as a members of the body; letting love be genuine as we love one another with a brotherly affection, (Romans 12:3-10). My prayer for us is that we will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of Jesus, (Colossians 1:9, 10).

In the months to come we will be digging into Paul’s letter to the Colossians. By God’s grace, during our time in Colossians, my hope and prayer is that the gospel will increase among us to the praise of His glorious grace. By God’s mercy we will see His goodness in everything as we walk together in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hopefully you will study along with this sermon series as the Word of God is opened to you. My hope is for the central message of this letter to be utterly clear; which is the Lordship of Christ, as Preeminent in everything, while we proclaim him always.

God Bless,

Pastor Brian

Colossians 1:28, 29—“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.”
