Proverbs 3:25–26, ESV
“Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes, “”for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught. ”

Political Unrest

Reading the proverbs this morning reminded me of my confidence. My confidence is in the Lord. In our time of uncertainty and political unrest we can to find rest in Lord Jesus. Jesus Christ, who is Almighty and not almost-mighty, is my strength. The Lord can be trusted in, irrespective of circumstance. Which makes great sense considering the admonition in the earlier part of the chapter.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. ” (Proverbs 3:5–7, ESV)
